When Doc Brown told Marty McFly that he had created a car that could take them back in time, most people wished they could do the same. Fred Rahmer piled 8, some of his closest friends into a Delorean and took us all back a few years with the Legends at Lincoln race last Wednesday at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown. Drivers from yesteryear climbed behind the wheel of current Sprint Cars with throwback paint schemes and raced in heat races and a feature. Although the race was held on a Wednesday, it seemed like the biggest throwback Thursday ever.
Great site guys, Thanks again for the use of the car last Saturday Jacob had a great time, I think you'll be seeing more of him at the tracks. For the first three years of our existence we raced at Dorney Park.
This year it started with the letdown of a rain out at Grandview, followed up by one of the oddest racing decisions seen in the area in recent memory. Bob Miller canceled the races Wednesday for Lincoln Speedway with little to no rain in the forecast and with a makeup feature from last season's USAC race. Miller is in charge of the first two races of the week as "Thunder on the Hill" events, and is also credited highly for the push for USAC to come east.
